雖然很累 可是很開心

Caxtons are mechanical birds with many wings

and some are treasured for their markings --

they cause the eyes to melt

or the body to shriek without pain.

I have never seen one fly, but

sometimes they perch on the hand.

Mist is when the sky is tired of flight

and rests its soft machine on ground:

then the world is dim and bookish

like engravings under tissue paper.

Rain is when the earth is television.

It has the property of making colours darker.

Model T is a room with the lock inside --

a key is turned to free the world

for movement, so quick there is a film

to watch for anything missed.

But time is tied to the wrist

or kept in a box, ticking with impatience.

In homes, a haunted apparatus sleeps,

that snores when you pick it up.

If the ghost cries, they carry it

to their lips and soothe it to sleep

with sounds. And yet they wake it up

deliberately, by tickling with a finger.

Only the young are allowed to suffer

openly. Adults go to a punishment room

with water but nothing to eat.

They lock the door and suffer the noises

alone. No one is exempt

and everyone’s pain has a different smell.

At night when all the colours die,

they hide in pairs

and read about themselves —

in colour, with their eyelids shut.

耍白癡

對自己今天的表現很失望

本來以為好不容易有動力 努力, 會為學業加油跟盡力
突然發現, 要回到過去懶散的自己 有多麼容易
努力了一個學期的成果, 可以在一天之內毀滅
雖然還不知道對於這科有什麼分數上的影響, 但是 知道這完全是可避免的
而且對我的士氣也有影響

加油! 努力!
剛剛從 Hugs Don't Hate 的 Connective Kindness 的會議回來
今天的特別有意思, 因為有個從非洲移民到美國的聽障同學參加
他好熱情, 好正面, 好快樂, 而且他的微笑好真誠
他會英文, 法文, 跟手語
對於我們一群看不懂手語的人, 他很有耐心
對幫助別人而充滿了熱誠.

如果我做不到幫助他人時充滿熱誠,
那就更沒有原因不為自己努力

ITASA

ITASA 今天結束了. 我現在心情還超high 的, 不想睡覺!

Recap: 看到Yuko!!!! 我們超級久沒見面的, 自從高中畢業之後! 很開心也很興奮, 跟他還有Mason 玩的超級開心的! 我們第一天去了一個workshop之後就跑去prudential吃cheesecake factory的午餐. 結果我還走錯路, 跑到arlington那邊才知道, so ashamed! 然後我們去逛newbury! 走到GSU我跟Yuko都累到在那邊睡覺, 然後趕回去MIT去看 Jason Cheng 跟Ryan Huang 表演! 他們在youtube上超有名的. 不過我跟Mason的總結是:

Ryan 的歌聲跟個性比較好, 很可愛, 可是Jason的技巧比較好. 不過可能是那個equipment不好, 一直迴音所以效果不好.

今天我睡過頭, miss 掉了 shanghai restoration project 的表演. 聽說超級棒的, 我在youtube上聽, 真的很好 很喜歡! hahaha and then I got lost on my way to the North End....apparently I don't live in Boston....hahah I feel so ashamed xD

不過後來我workshop 有聽David Liang (founder of the SRP) 的一些advice等. 有一個workshop 還有Berklee的教授講台灣soundscapes的變化反應台灣文化上的改變跟進步, 蠻有意思的, 讓我想起姐姐的ethnomusicology!

之後又聽了一次formosa betrayed的人的panel discussion, 覺得跟第一次的聽後感很類似. 我還坐在一個超級大牌的producer旁邊耶. 不知道...我像去看電影, 看看是不是有誤解什麼因為還沒看, 所以不知道真正在講什麼.

然後去banquet, at a really ghetto/俗的restaurant 吃飯, 還不錯吃, 可是我懷疑有用味精 然後我們的ending keynote speaker 是---------------Janet Hsieh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 是Fun Taiwan 的主持人!!!! OMFG OMFG 哈哈哈 我超喜歡他的! She told us a ton of really funny stories that happened to her and it was so interesting! lol apparently a ton of Taiwanese celebs are in the US now...like Will Pan, Fan Fan, Hei Ren, etc.  Also, ran into Michael Chang, who I hadn't seen in forever and it was interesting lol.

Then we went to the afterparty!! Michael was really nice and got me and Yuko drinks...hahahaha 然後我們瘋狂的跳舞, 超級熱, 超high 的! Will Tiao and Tzi Ma also went and 我們還跟他聊天, 哈哈他還問我們喝什麼, 然後我們很shaddy的說喝 "可樂" 哈哈哈 cannot believe I partied with a 47 year old actor.

Then took freaking forever getting cabs, but then got back!
